1- Worship of these 6 gods

  • Lord Trivikram – According to the scriptures, one should worship Lord Trivikram (form of Lord Vishnu) by fasting day and night on the Dwadashi date of both the fortnights of Jyeshtha month, this gives the results of Gomedha Yagya.
  • Sun-Saturn God – In the month of Jyeshtha, one should wake up before sunrise and offer Arghya to the Sun, this helps in prolonging life. Diseases are destroyed. In this month, the inauspicious effects of Sade Sati and Dhaiya are eliminated by worshiping Shani Dev on the day of Shani Jayanti.
  • Hanuman – Hanuman Ji met Shri Ram for the first time in Jyeshtha, hence do special worship of Hanuman Ji on every Tuesday (Bada Mangal) of this month.
  • Krishna – In the month of Jyeshtha, by taking bath in Ganga, Yamuna river, worshipping Lord Krishna and donating sesame seeds, one gets the full benefits of Ashwamedha Yagna. On the full moon day of this month, by worshipping Lakshmi Ji, Satyanarayan and listening to Narada Purana, the sins of many births are eliminated.
  • Varun Dev – Water level goes down in the month of Jyeshtha, so conserve water. Donate water, worship Varun Dev, the god of water, especially on Ganga Dusshera and Nirjala Ekadashi.

2- What to eat, what not – In the month of Jyeshtha, the water level in the body starts falling. In such a situation, to maintain good health, use more green vegetables, sattu and water-rich fruits. Eat food at one time, do not eat brinjal, garlic, mustard, heat-inducing vegetables and fruits.

3- Water related works – Trees and plants dry up in the hot sun of Jyestha. To protect them, water the trees daily. Provide water to passers-by, arrange water for animals and birds. Take a river bath at a pilgrimage site.

4- Donation of these things – Donation of sesame seeds, water, earthen pot, shoes, fan, slippers, cucumber, sattu, grains and umbrella should be done (Jyeshtha daan). Get carpets installed for people in temples or social places, so that their feet do not get burnt.

5- This one thing will make you rich – According to the Anushishna Parva of Mahabharata, the importance of eating food at one time in the month of Jyeshtha has been explained. You are the eldest one and are in brief devotees of the month. Aishwarya is the best among the Pumanstri and Prapadyate. Meaning – Whoever eats only one meal in the month of Jyeshtha becomes rich and healthy, because good health is considered the biggest wealth.

6- Do not do this work even by mistake – One should not marry his elder son or daughter in the month of Jyeshtha, it is not considered auspicious. Also, do not eat fried, heavy, spicy food, your health may deteriorate. Do not harass animals and birds.
